All hardwoods and softwoods.
All colours of wood [unpainted / untreated] are acceptable.
All must be free from green leaves and green needles

Dimensions and Fines Content

NOT TO EXCEED 50mm (2”) in any dimension.
Undersize <5mm in all dimensions – Not to exceed 5% for virgin wood (Biomass).

Moisture

At time of delivery, not more than 55% moisture for virgin wood (Biomass).
Moisture content above the upper limit MAY be acceptable by prior arrangement, but this will be reflected in the purchase price relative to the excess moisture.
Suppliers will take all reasonable measures to ensure that wood is not exposed to unnecessary moisture, such as applied by hose reels, spray and deluge type systems in an attempt to control process dust. Only atomised water mist type systems are permitted for this purpose. Material exceeding the limit will be downgraded.

Quality

All material must be clean and free from contamination such as listed Hazardous Wastes, plastic, melamine, metal, stones, dirt, grit, paint, rubber, oil, toxic chemicals and other foreign bodies.
All material must be free from heavy metal compounds as a result of treatment e.g. Copper Chrome Arsenate (CCA ) – Identified by green colour.
All material must be free from plasterboard, MDF, plywood, chipboard, hardboard, OSB, laminated, bonded or glued products.
All material must be free of rot, decay, infestation and fire damage

Downgrading

Loads that contain material outside this specification e.g. oversize, metal, excessive fines or moisture, will be subject to a proportional price reduction / downgrade.

Collection

Supplier will need to load over 4.5 meters (15ft) high sides.
Where lorries are provided there will be demurrage charged at the expense of the supplier when the loading time exceeds one and half hours.
Lorries will not go off concrete or tarmac.
Access to the site must be suitable for 44 tonnes maximum gross weight.

Spot Testing

Loads may be subject to spot tests on arrival. Sub-standard deliveries will result in telephone notification to the supplier of any problem(s) found. This will be followed up with a fax or e-mail, giving exact details and confirming what action is to be taken.

Rejection

Boomeco reserve the right to downgrade, enact a quantity or price reduction or reject any load for reasons of non compliance with this specification and after the sampling and testing procedures have been carried out, the supplier notified accordingly, and subsequent deliveries cancelled until the reason for failure has been identified and corrected.
All costs will be for the suppliers account.

Quality Assurance

Suppliers must supply a statement of the procedures employed to ensure that the quality of the material delivered will always meet the above specification.
Boomeco may visit the supplier’s production site(s) at any reasonable time.
